The Request for Proposal phase is a key part of IT system development and infrastructure projects. This is the phase in which the organization must select the most appropriate provider for developing or implementing the required project.
The objective of the workshop is to educate and guide RFP writers, project managers, and providers on the process of selecting providers, from the characterization phase to the engagement phase between client and provider. This includes quality assurance activities and ensuring the quality of the process and the outcome.
Workshop duration: one day
Target audience: project managers, RFP and tender writers, procurement professionals, providers that respond to tenders and RFPs, legal counsel involved in procurement and tender processes.
The workshop follows the following agenda:
- An introduction and general explanation,
- preparation of specifications for proposals,
- logistics of the RFP,
- the internal evaluation document (IED),
- the provider conference,
- contracts and engagement,
- preparation of proposals by providers,
- evaluation of proposals by providers and selecting a provider,
- the Tenders Law, tender issues, and
- practice session on writing requests for proposal and internal evaluation documents and selecting a proposal.
